Internal Auditor Strengthening Municipal Governance
SADT Consulting is looking for an Internal Auditor to join our team on a six-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This role provides audit and assurance support in assessing municipal internal controls, performance information management processes, and compliance with applicable legislation, while helping strengthen municipal performance management systems and Audit of Predetermined Objectives (AoPO) readiness.
What you'll be doing
You’ll assess internal controls relating to municipal performance information, review performance management processes and procedures, and examine how performance information is collected, recorded, verified and reported. You’ll review Portfolios of Evidence (PoE) and supporting documentation, assess whether reported performance information is accurate, complete, supported and reliable, and carry out audit procedures in line with approved audit programmes.
- Contract: 6 months, possible extension

A Bachelor’s Degree in Internal Auditing or Auditing is required, with a relevant postgraduate qualification or professional internal audit designation counting as an added advantage. Candidates should bring a minimum of three years’ practical auditing experience, ideally in internal auditing, performance information auditing, compliance auditing, or public-sector auditing — municipal or local government experience is a strong advantage.
